North Santiam Watershed Council Policy for Hiring and Managing Contractors and Staff
Hiring and management of contractors for the North Santiam Watershed Council is outlined in the Council’s bylaws and contracts with these individuals. Contractors shall be managed as follows.
- The Council’s Operations Committee is responsible for hiring and managing staff, contractors and consultants. This includes approving contracts, work plans and payments. Furthermore, Operations will do regular contract reviews of contractors with the fiscal agent.
- Council members that would like a significant amount of a contractor’s time, such as the Council Coordinator, to complete some task or project must complete a Time Request Form and submit it to the Operations Committee for approval. This form can be access from the Council’s website or in the Membership or Steering Committee Manuals.
