Agenda includes presentation by Erika Lang and Sarah Dyrdahl on “Working Together to Restore Stout Creek”. Stout Creek is one of the Meyer Memorial Trust Model Watershed Subbasins and is a priority for salmon and steelhead habitat restoration. Erika and Sarah will present on progress made in strategic restoration including invasive plant species control, large wood placement instream for fish and restoring native streamside vegetation. Some of the participating landowners will also provide their perspective in participating in stream restoration. Meetings are open to anyone with an interest in the North Santiam River and the activities of the North Santiam Watershed Council. Feel free to join us and participate in the conversation.

March 3- Green’s Bridge to I-5 Santiam Rest Stop

April 7- Stayton to Green’s Bridge

May 5- Mehama to Stayton

June 2- Fishermen’s Bend to Mehama

June 30- Packsaddle to Fishermen’s Bend

Trips are hosted by the North Santiam River Guides. Trips are intended to demonstrate proper channel selection and navigation, and angling techniques. For more information contact Bill Sanderson at 503-897-3301, billsan@wvi.com.
