The North Santiam Watershed Council welcomes all interested citizens and organizations to become actively involved in Council projects.
Get Involved!
● Become a General Member! ● Serve on the Steering Committee! ● Donate Resources! ● Participate in council sponsored Events! ● Do a Restoration Project! ● Host a Tour for watershed members! ● Coordinate a local Cleanup Event! ● Participate in a Sub-basin Committee & help identify projects! ● Invite us to make a Presentation to your organization! ● Write a Letter of Support for funding sources! ● Staff a Booth!
10 Things You Can Do!
1. Conserve Water! 2. Reduce, reuse & recycle! 3. Landscape with native plants! For native plant guides, visit Marion SWCD or Linn SWCD Water only One Inch per Week! 4. Cover bare soil to prevent erosion! 5. Minimize or eliminate pesticide use! 6. Compost food waste and use it to enrich your soil! 7. Properly dispose of chemicals to protect water quality! 8. Maintain your well and septic system! 9. Conserve electricity! Turn off lights, dress warmer instead of turning the heat up, etc. 10. Set a good example in your neighborhood!
