Nov 17th North Santiam Watershed Council Meeting

7:00 to 9:00 pm    Stayton Community Center (400 Virginia St)

Agenda includes presentation on stream monitoring to measure effectiveness of restoration on the 3 Meyer Memorial Trust Model Watershed tributaries including Stout Creek, Valentine Creek and Bear Branch.  Other agenda items include officer elections and project partnership proposal by OSU graduate student on social monitoring with landowners partnering on stream restoration projects.

Meetings are open to anyone that has an interest in the North Santiam River and the activities of the North Santiam Watershed Council.  Feel free to join us and participate to the conversation.

Restoration in Progress Signs

The North Santiam Watershed Council is putting up signs at various stream restoration projects around the watershed when feasible so you can see work in progress around the watershed.

Oct 22nd – Niagara County Park Ivy Pull

9:00 am – noon                     Niagara County Park

Join us in celebration of Make a Difference Day for the Niagara County Park Ivy Pull.  Wear weather-appropriate clothing.  Bring gloves and clippers if you have them; other tools will be provided.  From Salem: on the south (right) side of Hwy 22 approx. 5 miles east of Gates. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.  Hosted by the North Santiam Watershed Council, Marion Soil and Water Conservation District and Marion County Weed Control District.
