Stout Creek

Map of Stout Creek

Stout Creek is a tributary to the North Santiam River, located in the upper portion of the lower watershed. The Council recently completed an Assessment and Restoration Plan for the lower 2.5 miles of Stout Creek that identifies and prioritizes restoration and conservation opportunities.  Additionally, the Council will be beginning an invasive weed inventory and control project from the top of the watershed to the mouth in partnership with Marion County Weed Control District, Oregon Department of Agriculture and Marion Soil and Water Conservation District.  During Summer 2009, the Council will be completing a large wood placement to address a high priority erosion site on Stout Creek.
